Sometimes Gradebook does not seem to be working properly. For example, the Score Inspector (for adding comments) will not open, or, the Gradebook preferences are not working properly.
Sometimes these types of issues are caused by a file associated with Gradebook that becomes corrupted. This file is known as the Gradebook Properties file. When this file becomes corrupted, the Score Inspector will no longer work properly. Other functions of Gradebook may also be compromised.
Fortunately there is an easy fix for this issue. Please follow the steps provided below to fix the problem.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. If you are In GradeBook, save your work and exit the program.
2. Next, open Windows File Explorer.
3. Select the "C:" Drive from the left-hand navigation pane.
4. Using the Search Bar in the top-right corner of Windows Explorer, search for "powerschool_gradebook.properties". NOTE: It may take a minute or so for the system to locate the file.
5. Wait a moment for the system to perform the search. Once the Gradebook Properties file has been found, delete the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting "Delete".
6. The properties file will be regenerated once Gradebook is opened again.
