Area Director, Michael Carthew, invites staff and faculty of Pacific Schools to consider some thoughts and questions as they launch themselves in to the new school year. Key topics for this training include: reaching out to students one by one; preparing and nurturing disciples of Christ; as well as the seminary vision for 2021 and beyond.

With discussion time included, staff and faculty will require approximately 60-70 minutes to complete this training module. For ease of viewing, the training has been divided in to three video segments. The videos can be watched online via this page, or downloaded and saved for viewing on a device. Part 1: Reaching Students One By One

Time Required: 25-30 Mins

Join with Michael and members of your team to discuss a schoolwide effort to know, nurture, and nourish every student. What would this effort look like in your school? What do you need to make that vision a reality? How do you intend to accomplish this effort within your school?

Part 2: Preparing Disciples of Christ

Time Required: 12-17 Mins

Our vision is to have every student and teacher better know their Savior, through better understanding some of the attributes He embodied. How do we support this vision? How can we help each student and teacher as they actively strive to develop His attributes in their own lives? What does discipleship look like in Church Schools?

Part 3: The Vision for Seminary

Time Required: 15-20 Mins

In addition to fulfilling the objective of Seminaries and Institutes, it is our vision that seminary classes will play a key role in teaching students to become true disciples of Christ. It is also our vision that Seminary classes will help prepare students to become high-quality missionaries.
