Get to Zero
This is a game for two students to play. Students take turns rolling dice and subtracting from the starting number of 999. The first student to get to zero wins. A sample game is demonstrated in this video. For grades 2 and above.
Race to One Hundred
This is a game for two students to play. Students take turns rolling two dice. They then choose to add, subtract, multiply, or divide the two numbers. They do whichever operation helps them get closer to 100 on their turn. The first student to get to 100 wins. The game is played on a 100 number chart. Portions of a sample game are demonstrated in this video. Designed for Grade 3 and above.
How Many Dots?
In this game we roll 30 dice and then figure out how many dots are showing. The primary benefit of this game is to have students practice making 10 flexibly. Designed for younger primary grades.
