Introduction

The purpose of the “Teacher Submission Date/Periods Missing” SQL report is to check which class attendance has not been submitted by the current Teacher within a specified date range. If a teacher has not submitted their attendance for one or more classes, they can enter the attendance for the date by clicking on the Submit Button.

Running the Report

1. In the SQL Reports section of the PowerTeachers Start Page, click on the report labeled: Attendance -> Teacher Submission Date/Periods Missing.

2. On the Teacher Submission Date/Periods Missing report page, enter the desired Start Date and End Date for the report using the fields provided. For example, if you would like to run a report for June, then select “June 1” in the Start Date field and select “June 30” in the End Date field. Click the Submit button to run the report.

NOTE: If you would like to run a report for a SINGLE day only, then simply enter the SAME date in both fields. For example, to run a report just for June 15, select “June 15” for both the Start Date and the End Date fields. Also note that non-school days such as weekends and public holidays will be automatically ignored in the report even if they are included in the selected date range.

Understanding and Using the Report

1. Once you have run the report, you will see a row of data for each class that has no attendance recorded between the start and end dates entered. It is recommended to keep the date range short if you have many classes to catch up on.

2. Each of these “rows” of data has a blue Submit button. By clicking on any Submit button will open a new tab to display the attendance record to correct. For this demonstration the 3rd row will be use.

3. This page is exactly the same as the normal Page for recording meeting attendance. Check the date and meeting name. Change the attendance Code to "A" and click in the blank cell to record an absence for the required student/s. Then click Submit to record attendance changes. If no students are absent you must still click submit to record the meeting roll is completed.

4. Close the tab by clicking on the X on the tab and the submissions missing report will re-appear. At any stage you may refresh (F5 or re-run) the page to get a reduced list of missing meetings.

7. Completing these missing submissions will keep the school administration very happy.
