Introduction

A new support page has been created for S&I Support Specialists and Coordinators to assist them with gathering data from PowerSchool for input in to WISE.

The concept of S&I personnel having access to PowerSchool is undergoing review and so for now, this page is in testing phase. If successful, additional access and enhancements to this page may also occur in the future.

For now, a simple interface has been provided to help S&I staff with extracting Seminary related data.

Using the Support Page

1. Go to https://powerschool.ldschurch.org/admin and log in using your PowerSchool username and password:

2. Once logged in to PowerSchool, click on the word School and select the name of the school from which you would like to extract data:

3. Click on the S&I Support link located on the right-hand side of the green horizontal navigation bar:

4. When the S&I Support page has loaded, you will see various reports listed. A brief description of each report is shown under the title of each report. Click on one of the reports provided to run a report:

5. For some of the reports you will be asked to provide some parameters. Follow the instructions provided to set the desired parameters and then click Submit:

6. Review the data directly from the report provided or use the Search bar provided (in the top-right section of the report) to search for a specific Student or sub-set of data:

7. Also use the Filter menus provided to narrow your search results. In the example shown below we have used a filter to display only those students with an Att Code of “A”.

8. The Copy button can also be used to copy the data from the page. The copied data can then be pasted in to an excel spreadsheet for further manipulation and analysis:

NOTE: Please be aware that S&I Personnel should not have access to any other area in PowerSchool except for the S&I Support Page and the reports provided. Attempting to access unauthorized areas of PowerSchool will result in an “Insufficient Access Privileges” warning as displayed below. Use the S&I Support link to return to the S&I Support Page when you see this message. Please notify the Area Office immediately if you find that you have access to other areas of PowerSchool that you should not have access to. We appreciate your honesty in this regard.
