To decrease your Zoom level use CTRL - (Minus key).

TRICK: Open link in a new window or a new tab
Right-mouse click on the PowerSchool logo and select ‘Open link in new window or new tab’. This will give you a new PowerSchool window/tab so you can easily switch back and forth. This is helpful when you want to copy/paste data, or if you are working on multiple page changes. The ‘Open window in new tab’ works well when wanting to switch back and forth between students.
TRICK: To print a pane, simply right-mouse click
To print out the correct pane in PowerSchool, simply right-mouse click on the pane you want and select Print.
Example: You want to print out a student’s Quick Lookup pane but when you go to File>Print you end up printing the top portion of the PowerSchool page and/or just the Navigation menu on the left. This is because PowerSchool usually has 3 panes created on one page. If you place your cursor on the Quick Lookup pane and right-mouse click, you will be able to select ‘Print’, which will print only that Quick Lookup pane.
TRICK: Search for a word on any browser page
Once a PowerSchool page is open do a ‘Find’ by pressing CTRL F to get the “Find’ pop-up box. You can then search for words which contain the characters you have entered in the search box. Example: Search for a teacher or course in the Master Schedule instead of scrolling trough the whole list. If there are multiple occurrences of the search then they are highlighted in yellow.
TRICK: Display a students absences
An easy way to print out a student’s absences is to use the Quick Lookup screen and select the total absences link. You will get a list of absences by sections/course, as well as the date of absence and reason.
EXAMPLE:
Select a student and view the Quick Lookup screen.
Click on the total absences number and a absences report will be produced. You can then right-mouse click to print the page.
TIP: Smart Search
In order to help you get the search result you want faster, you can enable Smart Search. Smart Search works in conjunction with the Search Student and Search Staff fields on the PowerSchool Start Page. When enabled, as you enter your search criteria, PowerSchool automatically provides a drop-down list of suggestions that you may choose from, including students, staff, stored searches, fields, and PowerSchool page names. Suggestions provide the following visual cues as to the type of the suggestion:
Result Type | Icon | Text Color |

Stored Searches | Green | |
Fields | Black | |

Note: Suggestions are dependent upon how Smart Search is enabled, as well as whether you are searching for students or staff.
