INTRO
Technically speaking, this article belongs to two categories: Attendance and SQL Reports. Because this article is referring to an actual SQL Report we will be filing it in the ‘SQL Reports’ category.
This report is an enhancement of the built-in PowerSchool report of the same name. Unfortunately, the built-in PowerSchool report does not satisfy our needs, so an alternative SQL Report version has been created.
The purpose of this report is to find out which teachers have completed their attendance rolls on a specified day. Please see below for more details.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. Go to Start Page > SQL Reports and open the category named: Attendance
2. Scroll through the Attendance category and select the report named: Teacher Attendance Submission Status
3. Choose a Date for which you would like to scan attendance. Click the Submit button to run the report.
4. The report will list all classes that Teachers are assigned to for the selected day. Classes are listed below the Teacher’s name and highlighted as Complete or Incomplete.
5. The Send Email button can be used to quickly send a message to a Teacher that has not completed attendance for one or more of their classes.
6. When the Send Email button is clicked it will automatically generate an email with some general instructions. If you would like to send the Teacher the name of a specific class to check, then simply copy and paste the class name(s) from the SQL Report into the email.
Note: PowerSchool provides a similar built-in report of the same name. The built-in report is found by going to Start Page > Attendance > Teacher Attendance Submission Status. Unfortunately the built-in report does not always work properly for schools with a rotating Bell Schedule. To be safe, always use the SQL Report provided to track attendance submission status accurately.
